Growing up in Mumbai, Sindhu attended engineering college and also discovered a love of painting—the feel of a brushstroke on bamboo paper—and saw how the power of beautiful images can move people.
Sindhu who has never worked as a profession as an artist in Mumbai feels that chasing dreams as an artist is difficult in any part of the world. She even feels that our country has a diverse culture and a beautiful history and art is a big part of who we are and we should not lose it.
She can see her finalized painting before she starts the first stroke. Being autodidactic gives her no perimeter on what is right or wrong. In fact, she actually doesn’t even feel important to think if it’s right or wrong in art. Using her distinctive experiences and habitat as inspirations and with her strong creative instincts, she paints for the challenge and surpassing joy of being able to express herself in a visual form.
